Distinguished Young Pharmacist AwardJun Sung KimThe 2026 Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award was presented to Jun Sung Kim in recognition of his leadership, innovation, and commitment to advancing the profession of pharmacy. As Vice President of the Korean American Pharmacists Association of New York & New Jersey, Jun led major networking and educational initiatives, built new collaborations between pharmacy organizations and healthcare companies, advanced pharmacist-centered educational programs, and dedicated hundreds of volunteer hours to professional service, mentorship, community outreach, and advocacy.
Bowl of Hygeia AwardHoward "Howie" JacobsonThe Bowl of Hygeia Award, one of the profession's highest honors, was presented to Howie Jacobson in recognition of his outstanding record of community service. For decades, Howie has supported charitable initiatives benefiting numerous health-related causes, volunteered at community vaccination clinics, organized food drives, supported charitable organizations, mentored student pharmacists, and served in leadership roles within both PSSNY and the Long Island Pharmacists Society. His lifelong commitment to serving patients, supporting his community, and advancing pharmacy exemplifies the spirit of this prestigious award.
Jack Nicolais Spirit of Pharmacy AwardAnthony CiarlettaAnthony Ciarletta received the 2026 Jack Nicolais Spirit of Pharmacy Award in recognition of his longstanding commitment to organized pharmacy, professional advocacy, and service. Throughout his career, Anthony has served in numerous leadership positions, contributed to a wide variety of professional committees, advocated for the advancement of pharmacy practice, mentored student pharmacists, and supported the development of future pharmacy leaders. His dedication to the profession and to making a difference in pharmacy continues to leave a lasting impact throughout New York State.
NCPA Leadership AwardDan BosleyThe National Community Pharmacists Association Leadership Award was presented to Dan Bosley in recognition of his outstanding leadership and commitment to independent community pharmacy. Through his advocacy, member engagement, and service to organized pharmacy, Dan has helped strengthen PSSNY and advance the voice of community pharmacy throughout New York State. Barbara Trimarchi Legacy AwardBarbara TrimarchiThe inaugural Barbara Trimarchi Legacy Award was presented to Barbara Trimarchi in recognition of more than four decades of extraordinary service to PSSNY. Since joining the organization in the 1980s, Barb has served as a trusted resource, institutional historian, problem-solver, and steadfast supporter of PSSNY's members and leadership. Her commitment, integrity, selflessness, and unwavering dedication have left an indelible mark on the Society and helped shape PSSNY into the organization it is today. This award was established in her honor to recognize individuals whose lasting impact reflects the values she embodies.
